چکیده

The need for quick and easy deflection calculations of various prefabricated slabs causes simplified procedures numerical tools to be used more often. Modelling full 3D finite element (FE) geometry such plates is not only uneconomical but often requires the use complex software advanced knowledge. Therefore, homogenization an excellent tool, which can easily employed simplify a model, especially when accurate modelling necessary. Homogenization allows simplifying computational model replacing complicated composite structure with homogeneous plate. Here, method based on strain energy equivalence derived. Based proposed, concrete reinforced steel spatial trusses homogenized single plate effective stiffness. There complete between FE built solid elements combined truss structural model. correct any structures made both elements, without perform analyses. requirement correctly formulated stiffness matrix representative volume (RVE) appropriate formulation transformation kinematic constrains RVE boundary generalized strains.

Numerical Homogenization of Trabecular Bone Specimens using Composite Finite Elements

The approach on the left does not work for merely statistically periodic microstructures because periodic boundary conditions cannot be prescribed. Instead, macroscopic strains (ū) are imposed on the boundary ∂Ω of the bounding box and the stress response σ̄ is computed on a proper interior subset Ω#β := {x ∈ Ω | dist(x, ∂Ω) > β} shown in red on the far left. This avoids boundary artifacts (stif...

Numerical testing of homogenization formulas efficiency for magnetic composite materials

Magnetic composite materials are used for multiple applications. The macroscopic behavior of the material is influenced by its microscopic properties. Sometimes it is difficult to model the complex structure of the composite because the properties differ at the microscopic scale. Some simplifying assumptions are often needed, one of them being the homogenization of the material. In this paper t...

Numerical Calibration of Mechanical Behaviour of Composite Shell

Composite shell linings consist of primary and secondary sprayed concrete linings separated by a layer of spray-applied waterproofing membrane. In order to design such a lining configuration, a calibrated numerical simulation approach is needed and the impact of interface properties on the composite mechanical behaviour should be understood. A programme of laboratory tests was carried out on be...

Homogenization in thermoelasticity : application to composite materials

One of the obstacles to the industrial use of metal matrix composite materials is the damage they rapidly undergo when they are subjected to cyclic thermal loadings; local thermal stresses of high level can develop, sometimes nearby or over the elastic limit, due to the mismatch of elastic and thermal coefficients between the fibers and the matrix. For the same reasons, early cracks can appear ...

Experimental and Numerical Investigation on Bending Capacity of Steel- concrete Composite Truss Girder

This article presents an experimental investigation on the bending capacity of steel-concrete composite truss girder (SCCTG). Four full-scale specimens named CB1, CB2a, CB2b and CB3 respectively, are tested and numerical analyzed. Stress distribution, load-displacement relationship, load-slip relationship and ultimate bending capacity of SCCTGs are investigated. The results show that SCCTG foll...
